Areni Wine Festival 2026

ARENI WINE FESTIVAL 2026 Each fall, the village of Areni in the Vayots Dzor region — widely considered the birthplace of winemaking — opens its doors for a day built entirely around Armenian wine. Areni has been home to generations of winemakers, with nearly every household keeping up the tradition in its own cellar and garden. The festival puts that 6,100-year heritage on display, drawing visitors in to taste local wine, enjoy live music, and explore the village's growing scene of family wineries, guesthouses, and gastro-yards.
