Armenian Scholarships, Grants & Financial Aid

SupportArmenian's scholarship directory brings together every Armenian scholarship we can verify — for undergraduate, graduate, vocational, and community-based students. Our goal is to make it easier for Armenian families to find education funding without digging through dozens of organization websites, dead links, and outdated pages. Each listing on this page is reviewed before being published and updated as new application windows open.

The Armenian community has a long tradition of investing in education. From foundations like the Armenian Educational Foundation (AEF), which has awarded over $510,000 in scholarships since 1991, to university-administered funds at USC Dornsife, and student-led initiatives like the All-ASA Scholarship Program, there are real, fully-funded opportunities waiting for qualified applicants. Many go unclaimed each year simply because students don't know about them.

Who can apply for Armenian scholarships?

Most scholarships require applicants to be of Armenian descent, currently enrolled in (or accepted to) an accredited college, university, or vocational program, and able to demonstrate one or more of the following: academic merit (typically a minimum 3.0 GPA), financial need, leadership, or active engagement with the Armenian community. Some scholarships are restricted to U.S. residents; others are open to Armenian students globally, including in Armenia and Artsakh.

What types of scholarships are listed?

Use the Type filter in the sidebar to narrow results by eligibility. We list Undergraduate scholarships for first-year through senior students, Graduate scholarships for master's and doctoral candidates, Community and Arts & Culture opportunities for working artists and community organizers, and STEM-focused awards for Armenian students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields. Several scholarships span multiple categories (for example, "Undergraduate & Graduate") and will appear under each applicable filter.

How to apply for an Armenian scholarship

Click any scholarship card above to open its full details page. Each listing includes the award amount, application window, eligibility requirements, sponsoring organization, and a direct link to the official application form. Most applications require a current resume, an official transcript, a personal essay (often around 500 words), and at least one letter of recommendation. Read each scholarship's eligibility carefully before applying — the strongest applications are the ones most clearly aligned with what the sponsor is looking for.

Application timing matters

Most Armenian scholarship windows open between February and May, with deadlines clustered in mid-spring. A few — like Avaness Law's Annual Safe Driving Awareness Scholarship — accept submissions through the fall. The Hidden Road Initiative is open year-round through sponsorship donations. To make sure you don't miss a deadline, bookmark this page and check back monthly. Scholarships whose deadlines have passed move to the Deadline Ended tab so you can preview them in advance of their next cycle.

Submitting a scholarship for the directory

If you run an Armenian scholarship, grant, or fellowship — or know of one we haven't listed — email info@supportarmenian.com with the program name, sponsoring organization, award amount, eligibility, application window, and an official link. There is no cost to be listed. Including an Armenian scholarship in this directory is one of the most effective ways to reach qualified applicants in the Armenian diaspora.
