From Moscow to Rostov and Sochi — Armenian life across Russia.
Russia holds the largest Armenian diaspora in the world, over a million people. The oldest communities are in the south: Nor Nakhichevan, founded in 1779 and now part of Rostov-on-Don, the Don Armenian villages of the Myasnikovsky district, and the dense settlements of Krasnodar Krai around Sochi. Moscow has the largest Armenian cathedral ever built outside Armenia, consecrated in 2013, and St Petersburg's church on Nevsky Prospekt dates to 1780.
