The Armenian Saturday School of Prague is the weekend school of the Czech capital's Armenian community, held in Charles University classrooms on Celetna in the old town. Lessons cover Armenian language and literature, Armenian history, folk songs and dances, traditional embroidery, and religion and church history. That breadth gives children a rounded picture of Armenian culture rather than language alone. The school is directed by Gohar Melikyan and its work is confirmed in the Armenian Embassy overview of the community in Czechia. Families interested in places attend the Saturday sessions at the Celetna 20 building.
