The Armenian School of Greater Baltimore teaches Armenian language and culture to children in the Baltimore area. It is one of the Armenian schools of Greater Washington that opened a new academic year, as reported in the Armenian Weekly. For Armenian families in Maryland the school is a main place where children learn to read and write Armenian and meet others their age from the community. Classes cover language alongside Armenian culture, so the lessons carry history and tradition as well as grammar. More information is available through the ARF Sebouh Gomideh site at arfdc.org.
