The Arshile Gorky Academy is an art program of Hamazkayin's Hovhannes Toumanyan chapter, part of the Armenian cultural and educational association. Classes are for students ages 8 to 17 and cover art and painting, with a curriculum that introduces Armenian artists alongside classical ones. The academy is hosted at the Glendale Youth Center on West Chestnut Street, where instructor Ruby Vartan leads the sessions. Because it runs inside the youth center, students are in the same building as other Armenian programs. Families interested in enrolling can reach the academy through the Glendale Youth Center, which handles contact for the program.
