Hamazkayin Kuwait was founded on 11 November 2016 at a founding assembly of 75 people, as a separate chapter of the Hamazkayin Armenian Educational and Cultural Society. Dr. Mesrop Taslakian chairs the board, with Maida Movsesian as secretary, Houri Berberian as treasurer, Garo Doushgounian as accountant and Arda Jebejian, Perch Shahbazyan and Alvard Bablanian as advisers. The chapter runs the Shakeh dance ensemble and stages cultural programmes at St. Nerses Shnorhali Hall, and has performed at Kuwait’s Francophone Bazaar with the Armenian Embassy.
