Icing on the Ring began in 1969 as European Jewelry Company in the Downtown Los Angeles Jewelry District. Founder Garo Abgar Rupchian was born in Armenia and apprenticed with a Yerevan jeweller in 1963, following his father Abgar, who also made jewellery in Armenia. The house specialises in custom engagement rings and fine jewellery made on the premises, and sells online as well as from the Hill Street showroom.
