About

The AGBU Chicago Chapter, based at the Onnig Norehad Center on North Harlem Avenue, was established in 1911 and is one of the oldest Armenian General Benevolent Union chapters in the United States. The centre hosts an Armenian Saturday school, youth and cultural programs, and serves as a community centre for the city's Armenians. It is listed in AGBU's official global directory of chapters and centres. Armenian families across Chicago use it for language classes and community events. Enquiries go through the chapter by phone or at ChicagoChapter@agbu.org.
