The Armenian Museum of America in Watertown, Massachusetts is the largest Armenian museum in the United States and one of the largest Armenian museums outside of Armenia. Founded in 1971, the museum preserves, exhibits, and promotes Armenian art, history, and heritage through a permanent collection of more than 25,000 objects — including illuminated manuscripts, ancient coins, oriental rugs, ceramics, textiles, and a research library. The museum hosts rotating exhibitions, lectures, cultural events, and educational programs throughout the year.
