Armenia Tree Project
Armenia Tree Project (ATP) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit founded in 1994 by Carolyn Mugar to promote Armenia's socioeconomic development through reforestation. With a full-time staff of 80 people in Armenia, four state-of-the-art tree nurseries, and two educational centers, ATP has planted over 9 million trees and shrubs across forests, schoolyards, and culturally significant sites — removing an estimated 100,000 tons of CO₂ annually. Through its Environmental Education Program, ATP has reached over 110,000 students and teachers across Armenia, while offering close to 500 seasonal work opportunities for local residents.
