The Melankton and Haig Arslanian Djemaran is Hamazkayin's flagship Armenian school, founded in 1930 and located in the Mezher district of Antelias, north of Beirut. It teaches about 600 students through primary and secondary years in a bilingual Armenian programme covering language, history and culture. The Djemaran has long been one of the most important Armenian schools in the diaspora, and generations of teachers, writers and community leaders have come through it. It serves Armenian families across Lebanon, including boarding and day students from the Beirut area.
