Homenetmen Glendale Ararat Chapter is a community-rooted Armenian-American sports, scouting, and cultural organization serving the Greater Los Angeles area. The chapter runs year-round programming across athletics, scouting, education, wellness, alumni networking, and parental involvement — with two multi-use campuses anchoring its activities. The main Ararat campus features a full fitness center, two basketball and volleyball courts, a coffee lounge, the Ararat store, an assembly hall, a banquet hall, and meeting rooms; the Vahe Ardsroony North Campus Center adds a multi-sport gymnasium, the Elevate Fitness Center, a parents' lounge, and additional meeting space. Signature community events include the annual Glendale Friendship Games, the Navasartian Games, the Summer Day Camp, tennis and ping pong tournaments, the Red Poppy Forum, and the Elevate Talks educational seminar. Founded in 1978, the chapter's scouting program has become one of the largest Boy Scout troops in the United States — today encompassing 16 units (five Boy Scout troops, five Girl Scout units, three Cub Scout packs, three Brownie units, and one Venturing crew) for roughly 500 scouts. The scouting program is a member of the Boy Scouts of America Verdugo Hills Council and focuses on building character, citizenship, Armenian cultural knowledge, personal fitness, and leadership skills through weekly activities, field trips, and an annual week-long camping expedition. The chapter also partners actively with local Glendale and Los Angeles government bodies, corporate sponsors, and community organizations.
