Homenetmen Montevideo is Uruguay's chapter of the Armenian General Athletic Union and Scouts. Sports and scouting form its programme, as in Homenetmen chapters on every continent. The chapter is listed as an active South America chapter in the Homenetmen central chapter directory. Montevideo has an established Armenian community, and the chapter gives its children and young people a place to train, play and take part in scout life in Armenian. Families can make contact through the chapter or the Homenetmen organisation, which coordinates South America.
