The Hrazdan Olympic Sports School of Hockey and Chess combines two disciplines that rarely share a building, offering chess training and ice hockey training in the same school. It is listed among Armenia's state sports schools on the Government of Armenia services gateway and works inside the public sports system. Chess is part of the fabric of Armenian life, while hockey is far rarer in the country, which makes this school unusual. Children and young people can train in either discipline. Families in and around Hrazdan can enquire at the school, which the government register lists by name.
