KD MMA was founded by Karen Darabedyan, the Armenian-American WEC veteran who also serves as head coach, and its Glendale gym is on Riverdale Drive. The mat covers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, boxing, Muay Thai, kickboxing, MMA, wrestling, judo and Kajukenbo, with separate kids programs and a women's BJJ class. The coaching staff is largely Armenian, the website has an Armenian language version, and the gym credits Hayastan MMA, so Armenian-speaking families will find it an easy place to walk into.
