The Khachatur Abovyan House-Museum occupies the writer’s birthplace in the Kanaker district of Yerevan and was made a museum in 1939. Abovyan is regarded as the founder of modern Armenian literature, and the museum spreads about 500 square metres of exhibition space across twelve departments.
