Massis Kabob was founded in 1976 by Hacop Jack Baghdassarian, an Armenian immigrant who opened a kabob stand in the Glendale Galleria food court and grew it into a Southland mini chain. His sons Gevik and Peter now run it, and this South Glendale Avenue site is the first standalone brick and mortar, opened on the 45th anniversary. The grill is visible from the counter and combo plates come in under twenty dollars.
