Founded in 1976, the Organization of Istanbul Armenians serves Armenians from Istanbul and Turkey now living in Southern California, from its center in Winnetka. It runs scholarships, social services such as advising, financial aid, job placement and translation help, cultural and literary programming, publications, and youth and sports clubs. The organization is known for commemorative concerts and events including annual Hrant Dink memorials.
