Taline is a modern Armenian restaurant on Yonge Street in Toronto’s Summerhill neighbourhood, opened by brothers Seb, Saro and Serouj Yacoubian and named in honour of their late mother. The kitchen works from the family’s Armenian and Lebanese table, sending out kaghamp braised cabbage with fennel tahini and pomegranate, tsoug whole grilled fish with za’atar and charred grapes, charred flattened farouj chicken and a forty day dry aged rib steak, all alongside village style house breads. The room takes private events and serves dinner through the week.
