The Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Lord stands at the corner of Olimpiysky Prospekt and Trifonovskaya Street in Moscow and is the largest Armenian cathedral ever built outside Armenia. It was consecrated on 17 September 2013 by His Holiness Catholicos Karekin II and anchors the Armenian Temple Complex, which also holds the chapel of the Holy Cross, the Tapan museum, the St Gregory of Narek Gymnasium, a library, an exhibition hall and the Catholicos’s Moscow residence. It is the seat of the Diocese of New Nakhichevan and Russia under Archbishop Yezras Nersisyan.
