The Gantegh children's choir and the Cilicia youth choir belong to Hamazkayin's H. Ohanjanian chapter in Kessab, in the Latakia Governorate of northwestern Syria. The chapter also maintains a theatre group, so young members can sing or act. Kessab is one of the few historically Armenian towns in Syria, with its own dialect and village traditions, and its cultural groups carry that local identity as well as the wider Armenian one. The choirs are for children and young people of the town. They are listed with contact routes on the Hamazkayin Syria regional page.
