Homenetmen Netherlands, also known as HMYM, is the Dutch branch of the Armenian general athletic and scouting movement. Its programme covers Armenian scouting, sports competitions and youth education, with groups drawn from Almelo, Amsterdam, Alkmaar and Arnhem. The Armenian Embassy reported the organisation's centenary in Almelo, marked with sports competitions and a scout oath ceremony. Minas Arsenyan heads the organisation. For Armenian families spread thinly across Dutch towns, the scout groups and competitions are the main occasions when children meet other Armenians their age. Membership is arranged through the local groups.
