The Armenian general sports and scouting association of Vienna, known as Homenetmen Vienna, was founded in 1989. It offers Armenian sport together with scouting, known in Austria as Pfadfinder work. The association is listed under community sports organisations by the Armenian Embassy in Austria, which places it among the established Armenian bodies in the country. Sport and scouting side by side is the Homenetmen formula, and in Vienna it gives Armenian children a weekly Armenian environment outside the home. Families can join through the association.
