The Instituto Educativo San Gregorio El Iluminador is an Armenian school in Buenos Aires, named after St Gregory the Illuminator, the patron saint of the Armenian Apostolic Church. It offers Armenian language schooling through primary and secondary years. The institute is cited as the Armenian Institute reference in accounts of the Armenian community in Argentina, one of the largest in the Americas. Schools of this kind are where Armenian is taught as a full subject rather than a weekend class, which is why the community has sustained several of them in the capital.
