Karoun Dance Ensemble is the Armenian dance ensemble of St. John Armenian Church on Olympia Way in San Francisco. It was founded in 1999 to promote Armenian culture in the Bay Area and performs Armenian folk dance in public programmes and community events. Carol Kazarian and Lauren Almquist direct the ensemble. It welcomes Armenians across San Francisco and the wider Bay Area who want to learn the repertoire and perform it. Prospective dancers can reach the ensemble through the St. John Armenian Church office by phone or via the church website.
