The Maison culturelle armenienne de Villeurbanne is an Armenian cultural house on avenue Marcel Cerdan in the Lyon area. Its programme is unusually broad, running from karate shotokai and chess to the Nairi Armenian dance ensemble, kanon and piano lessons, singing and theatre. Armenian and French language classes sit alongside them, which helps both children raised in France and families who arrived more recently. Villeurbanne and neighbouring Decines hold one of the largest Armenian populations in the country, and the house serves them across all ages.
