AGBU Sofia is the Armenian General Benevolent Union's chapter in the Bulgarian capital. It organises community sport tournaments and youth programmes for the city's Armenian community, and it hosted the 10th European Armenian Games, with competition in football, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, chess and backgammon. Hosting a European Armenian Games puts a chapter at the centre of the continent's Armenian sporting calendar for a season. Sofia's Armenian community is one of several in Bulgaria that AGBU works with. Enquiries go through the chapter and AGBU Europe.
