Ani Catering and Cafe is an Armenian and Middle Eastern restaurant on Belmont Street in Belmont, just outside the Armenian core of Watertown. Hovannes Janessian, born in Aleppo, started it as part time catering in 1993, went full time in 2006, added takeout in 2012 and opened the sit down restaurant in October 2014. It is named for his wife Ani, chicken shawarma is the top seller, and the kitchen line is that freshness is the secret with no preservatives or processed food.
