The Armenian Weightlifting Federation is the national governing body for weightlifting in Armenia, based in Yerevan and founded in 1922. It selects and manages the national team, sanctions competitions and represents the sport nationally. Arayik Harutyunyan is president. The federation sits above Armenia's weightlifting clubs and the state youth weightlifting schools in Yerevan and Gyumri, which train the next generation of lifters. Athletes, coaches and clubs looking to register or compete deal with the federation, which keeps its public updates on social media rather than a website.
