Vana is the Armenian folk dance group of Hamazkayin's Avedis Aharonian chapter in Qamishli, in northeastern Syria near the Turkish border. It offers folk dance instruction and performs as a group, and its name points to Van, one of the historic centres of Armenian life. The Qamishli chapter also runs the Gomidas music school, giving the local community both dance and music teaching. The group is aimed at children and young people of Qamishli's Armenian community.
