The Kalousdian Armenian National School was founded in 1854 and has been in Boulaq, Cairo, since 1907. It is supported by the Prelacy of the Armenian Church in Egypt and teaches from kindergarten through primary, preparatory and secondary levels, with Armenian language, literature, music and history in the core curriculum. The school also hosts Armenian cultural events for the community. The Armenian Institute describes it as the oldest remaining Armenian school in Egypt, which makes it a landmark of one of the diaspora's historic communities. Families in Cairo can approach the school through the Prelacy of the Armenian Church in Egypt.
