The Cathedral of Surb Hovhannes Avetaranich, St John the Evangelist, is the seat of the Armenian Diocese of Southern Russia in Krasnodar. A khachkar was placed on the site in 1993 and the cathedral opened in 1998. The complex also holds the bishop’s residence, opened in September 2009, the chapel of St Panteleimon, and the Vardanyan cultural and educational complex of 2014, which runs an Armenian language, history and dance school. Open 10am to 4pm.
