F.C. Ararat Tehran is an Armenian Iranian football club founded in 1944 by Armenian Iranians and owned by the Ararat Cultural Organization. The club is based at Ararat Stadium inside the Ararat Sports Complex in Vanak, northern Tehran, and plays men's football at Tehran Province League level. It was dissolved after 2009 and reopened in 2014. Iran's Armenian community, one of the oldest in the world, built the Ararat complex as a centre for its sport and social life, and the football club is its best known face.
