UGAB Buenos Aires is the Argentine chapter of the Armenian General Benevolent Union, founded in 1911 as AGBU's first chapter in Latin America. From its building on Armenia street in the Palermo area it runs swimming and chess, a summer camp, the Liga de Jovenes youth league and a Young Professionals network, along with a theatre company and an Armenian film series. The same address is home to the Instituto Marie Manoogian school and the General Antranik scout group, which makes it a full day to day centre for the community. Argentina has one of the largest Armenian populations in the Americas. Contact 011 4773 2820 or secretaria@ugab.org.ar.
