The Colegio Nubarian is the Armenian General Benevolent Union school in Montevideo, offering Armenian language schooling at primary level. It carries the name of Boghos Nubar, the founder of AGBU. Uruguay's Armenian community took shape in Montevideo after the Genocide and remains concentrated there, which makes a single primary school the main route for Armenian literacy among its children. The school is part of AGBU's worldwide network of Armenian schools. Information is published through AGBU Uruguay at ugab.org.uy.
